Update: 11 am. Good news on the weather front: today's shower risk has diminished considerably, the latest computer run looks much drier than last night's simulation. Although a stray shower can't be ruled out, most of the showers should pass south and west of town, most neighborhoods remain partly sunny and dry into the evening hours, temperatures a few degrees cooler than yesterday due to considerable cloud cover. Considering the expanding drought across central Minnesota it's unfortunate we won't see much rain today - the next significant opportunity for more widespread showers and thunderstorms comes Tuesday.
That old adage, "when in a drought don't predict rain" rings true...
